Do any of you think perhaps LRG is due for some new blood? I ain't speaking of myself, but I know a multitude of fans, many can be found right here in these forums, that would probably have the drive to do something about the Earthdawn Website. After all, if LRG is just a "sideline" for its members, I'm pretty sure anyone would show more availability than whoever is so-called in charge of it now.

I don't understand why someone at LRG judt doesn't throw up something as an update. A short story, some new critters, something just to keep fans looking at the site. I look at it once a month and as soon as I see the "Updated 01/22/06", I click away from it. _________________ You are not alone among strangers, a way has been chosen.

Honestly, I'm not against the idea personally. Realistically, I don't know how easy it will be. There's a level of... stubbornness, for the lack of a better word, that I've been battling with for a long, long time that may not take well to "outsiders" attempting to take over. I will have to probe around and see. _________________ Joe Chan

It's not rumors or hearsay: fact is that there is no more Earthdawn 2nd Edition, and never will be anymore. There is no more Earthdawn license for LRG. It was a fun ride, but if I hadn't been hosting my 2nd edition game for five years, I would've moved on.
I never thought I'd see the day I'd move to RedBrick (I always felt Earthdawn Classic was nothing but a I-Dont-Like-The-2nd-Edition Grudge release), but I can't help but be impressed by the quality of Earthdawn 3rd Edition, a true new edition that redefines half the rules (which a new edition should), and their contractual agreement with Mangoose Publishing insures fresh new products on a regular basis.
...
Wow, I use to hate seeing people coming over here posting about RedBrick's work... Now I'm one of them... *sigh* _________________ I'll be glad to save your life, but I'll be taking your bones as payment.

I find it amusing that the Redbrick third edition rules included the skill system that was done in 2nd edition, especially given that was one of their main gripes with 2nd ed and why they were producing classic Earthdawn in the first place.
Seems to me they didnt have issue with it afterall. _________________ Loswaith

Hiya,
I love the smell of misinformation in the morning (although it is in the afternoon that I read this post)...
@Loswaith: Can you please clarify what is identical to the Second Edition rulebook that makes you post here?

Apart from some simplification of the rules (i.e., removing "magical" skills for ED3), there's not a lot that I can see that is the same as ED2. There is certainly "not" the specific weapon categories that are in ED2 related to Melee and Missile Weapons in ED3?
