Indeed. With continued support of the franchise via non-game products (the new movie, the UFS CCG produced by Sabertooth Games, the line of comics from Udon Studios, etc), perhaps the eventual release of the game is still a possibility (assuming a pickup in the pen&dice rpg market).

Let's say I wanted to know the official RPG stats for Zangief. Who at Capcom should I call to try and get the information I seek?

Though I had planned on buying the CWT d20 book(s), my ultimate goal was to convert the characters for use in GURPS. I tend to use the formula [d20 / 2 + 5 = GURPS], but sometimes the results don't feel right and need adjustment.

Zangief
7'0"; 385 lbs.
ST 20; DX 12; IQ 10; HT 15.

Any chance of getting a LRG representative's opinion on those stats?

Street Fighter 4 is in the works and there's a huge buzz.

Any news over here?

Unfortunately, I have no additional news aside from what I post to the "Messages from the Emperor" topics.

If the brick and mortar side of gaming is so bad, why couldn't you just release the book as a PDF?

Even if you wanted to sit on the Capcom liscence for a hardcover you could make up your own LRGs circuit/world/fighter roster.

My problem with the "indefinate hiatus" isn't so much not getting to play a SF RPG with the SF characters, as it is not being able to play a SF-style RPG at all. Without something like CWT or SF:tSTG on the market there's literally nothing I can use to mimic the SF style short of a HERO mockup (and I'm not too crazy with the thought of teaching my players the HERO system. They have enough trouble grasping Shadowrun as is...but they have D20 down fine.)
